The Russian Federation, as the chairman of the BRICS interstate association in 2024, is the host country of the BRICS Future Skills & Tech Challenge International Competition.

The events of the BRICS Competition take place between April and September 2024. The competition was held in high-tech and promising areas: "New and promising markets", "Digital Economy" and "New industries".

The final stage of the BRICS Competition took place in the period from September 22 to 27, 2024 in Kazan on the basis of the State Autonomous Professional Educational Institution "International Skills Center — Kazan College of Information Technology and Communications" (GAPOU "MCC-KTITS") with the participation of representatives of the BRICS+ countries to strengthen international cooperation and exchange experience in the field of advanced technologies and skills.

The final stage of the BRICS Competition was held on 13 high-tech skills with the connection of distributed technology platforms in the BRICS countries+:

  1. Business Process Automation;
  2. Business Process Automation (professional track);
  3. Blockchain Technology (Technological track);
  4. Web Technologies;
  5. Graphic Design Technology;
  6. Mechanical Engineering CAD;
  7. Intelligent Image Processing;
  8. Internet of Things;
  9. Machine Learning and Big Data;
  10. Mobile Robotics;
  11. Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR);
  12. Mobile Applications Development;
  13. Building Information Modeling;
  14. Building Information Modeling (Technological track);
  15. Digital Industry.

    As part of the BRICS events, an international Hackathon in the format of a practical workshop in the field of development, production and operation of unmanned aircraft systems was also held in Kazan from September 22 to 27.

    The international Hackathon was held on 4 high-tech skills in the field of UAS with the connection of distributed technology platforms in the BRICS countries+:

    1. UAV Operation;
    2. Aerial Robotics;
    3. Drone Artificial Intelligence;
    4. Drone Assembling, Drone Electronic Engineering.

    The final stage of the Competition in full-time and distributed format was attended by more than 130 experts and more than 190 contestants
    from 16 countries
    BRICS+ (Azerbaijan, Brazil, Belarus, Vietnam, Ghana, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Colombia, Kyrgyzstan, Morocco, Russia, El Salvador, Philippines, South Africa), of which more than 50 experts and more than 70 participated in the International Hackathon strong> contestants from 9 countries (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Ghana, India, Iran, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, South Africa).

    The test projects of the Competition were aimed at promoting technological cooperation and creating cooperative projects and products of the BRICS countries, for example, creating digital production models on the R-PRO Digital platform, automating business processes on the 1C platform, etc.

    Thus, the contestants of the "Blockchain Technology" skill in an international team in the format of technological cooperation developed and implemented a prototype of an information system to ensure control over the fulfillment of an order for the production of goods and its delivery to the end consumer. The developed system is focused on the development of the international economy. The basis of the solution is a smart contract that ensures the implementation of all necessary business processes.

    The innovative solution will reduce order processing time, increase the efficiency of business processes and even have a beneficial effect on logistics, and most importantly, it will make the system transparent for all participants in international trade.

    The blockchain platform “Confident” of the technological partner of the Web3 Tech company's skill was used as the basis for the application.

    The participants of the international team of the Building Information Modeling skill in the format of a technology track have developed a multifunctional system that provides a comprehensive solution in the field of design and master planning of logic parks and technoparks.

    The development included the generation of buildings for optimal use of land, taking into account the requirements of the terms of reference, code generation for design automation, analysis of natural factors and resources for sustainable development, automatic modeling of buildings to accelerate development, simulation of air flows and agate modeling to build logistics routes.

    This system simplifies the design process, increases its accuracy and contributes to the creation of sustainable and effective urban solutions.

    This development meets the requirements of the industry and was carried out at the request of the HSE International Supply Chain Management Center.

    The competition is a communication and expert platform for demonstrating advanced digital and technological solutions, digital skills, sharing experiences in the field of digital transformation and launching joint educational programs for the digital economy in the BRICS+ countries.

    Participation in the Competition allows organizations in the BRICS+ countries to expand their partner network, create cooperative projects, implement educational exchanges and test new technological developments.

    Based on the results of the Competition, prototypes of digital and technological solutions and joint educational programs for the development of digital competencies of the BRICS+ countries were proposed.
