An uncompromising struggle of electricians for victory, a sea of positive emotions, fans’ emotions, pleasant prizes – this was the second semi-final of the IEK – 2025 Electricians Championship, which was held on February 27 in Sevastopol.
About 200 electricians from 20 regions of seven federal districts of the Russian Federation competed for the opportunity to get into this semi-final. Those who showed the best results in the qualifying round met on the site: 10 practicing electricians competed in the "Professionals" league, 5 novice specialists - in the "Juniors" league.

Before picking up their tools, the electricians had to sit down at their laptops. In the first module of the competition, they had to write a program for energy-efficient control of a "smart" home. Then the semi-finalists began creating an electrical installation for domestic and industrial use.
“A modern electrician not only has the skills to work with modern equipment and software, but also knows foreign languages, domestic and international standards, and is proficient in various programming languages,” emphasized Andrey Mochalkin, the chief expert of the semi-final in Sevastopol.

While the electricians were completing the competition task, the guests and fans of the Championship were not bored. They could test their strength in master classes on the installation of ARMAT modular equipment in metal and plastic cases of the flagship TITAN and TEKFOR series, try to connect electrical installation products from the BRITE and TORS lines. The master classes interested both young visitors and experienced craftsmen.

Visitors could not pass by the stands with IEK products indifferently - they wanted to study and touch everything.

As part of the business program of the IEK Electricians Championship, a meeting of the Supervisory Board for the implementation of the Federal Project "Professionalism" was held. It was attended by representatives of the Department of Education and Science of the city of Sevastopol, heads of leading construction colleges of Sevastopol, employers, including IEK GROUP. They discussed interaction in training personnel between businesses and educational institutions. Such a dialogue allows for the preparation of a specialist in a short time, trained to meet the demands of the market and a specific production.
"Holding the semi-final of the IEK Electricians Championship is a significant event for our city, especially for the development of the personnel training system for such a sought-after profession," said Anton Ulyantsev, First Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Science of Sevastopol. "For our students, this is an opportunity to gain unique experience, improve their qualifications, learn from professionals and meet representatives of the city's leading employers."
"Thanks to modern educational programs, even students can compete on par with electricians who have more than 10 years of experience," says Petr Nekrasov, head of the department for work with the expert community and educational institutions at IEK GROUP. "Experienced participants come to the championship to test their level of knowledge and competence. In addition, the very fact of participating in the competition is already a small victory: the competitive selection reaches 15-20 people per place."
