BRICS Solutions Awards applications are accepted

The Agency for Strategic Initiatives together with The Platform for National Technological Initiative BRICS Business Council and The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation in particular as its Russian Chapter holds a competition for the best technological solutions and practices of the BRICS countries – BRICS Solutions Awards.

The aim of the competition is to identify promising technological projects of the BRICS countries.

"The goal of the BRICS Solutions Awards is to develop a system of independent and multipolar cooperation, for which it is important to create, improve and implement new technologies that meet the needs and interests of the BRICS countries," said Svetlana Chupsheva, General Director of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.

The selection will be held in 8 categories:

• New Industry And Energy
• Biotechnology And National Health
• Sky, Space And Communication Technologies
• Artificial Intelligence And Digital Services
• Climate And Environmental Technologies
• Platforms And End-to-End Solutions For Government And Public Administration
• Competencies And Staff Development
• Cognitive technologies and Creative economy

Within the “Competencies And Staff Development” nomination, participation is offered in 2 categories:

• National projects for training in the fields of artificial intelligence, critical technologies or unmanned aircraft systems;
• Teams, leaders of projects and solutions in the field of blockchain (distributed ledger) technologies, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, digital twins, cognitive technologies and unmanned aircraft systems.

An application for a competition in the “Competencies And Staff Development” nomination is an opportunity to present solutions in the field of personnel training for high-tech industries, best EdTech practices, as well as proposals from teams and startups that are the first to launch the development of technological solutions in the BRICS+ countries.

International peer review of projects will begin on July 1, 2024.

The results of the competition and the award ceremony will be held at the BRICS Business Forum, which will be held in October 2024 in Moscow on the eve of the BRICS summit.

The BRICS Solutions Awards were first held in 2020 during Russia's chairmanship of the BRICS association on the initiative of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and the support of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Since then, the competition has been held in the BRICS chair countries. In 2021 and 2022, the venues will be India and China.
